Monkey nuts are an enriching treat for small animals that encourage natural foraging behaviour by requiring them to gnaw and crack the shell to get to the peanut inside.

They also promote dental health by helping to wear down their teeth.

These roasted, unsalted nuts provide protein and healthy fats, but should be given in moderation (1-2 per week) as an occasional treat due to their fat content, especially for dwarf hamsters prone to diabetes.

    • Natural foraging: Hamsters love the challenge of cracking the shell to find the treat inside.
    • Promotes dental health: The act of gnawing helps keep your hamster's teeth at a safe length.
    • Enrichment: They serve as an excellent boredom breaker and can be hidden in the enclosure to encourage natural behaviors.
    • Nutritional content: Peanuts are a good source of protein and healthy fats, making them a wholesome, occasional treat.

    How to use

    • Hide them: Scatter a few nuts in your hamster's cage to encourage natural foraging instincts.
    • Offer as a treat: Give one or two nuts per week as an occasional reward during handling or playtime.
    • Remember moderation: Due to the high fat content, only offer them as an occasional snack to prevent overfeeding.
